Food and Drug Administration:
Modernization of Legacy Systems
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a key federal agency ensuring the safety of food and drugs, required a modernization of their legacy systems. FDA needed a data solution that was scalable and streamlined to fit their needs. FDA’s key data was scattered across disparate systems, making it challenging to manage data effectively and reducing the productivity of the organization.
Although FDA needed their systems to be modernized, they also needed a seamless transition from the old to new system, without losing data and with limited interruption of use for their staff. R&B Services provided an experienced, gifted resource to the project that could assist FDA in a smooth transition.
Our resource successfully collaborated with other teammates to provide an uninterrupted shift from the Drug Safety Dashboards to Appian’s platform, earning a 10 out of 10 rating in the areas of creative problem solving, on the job knowledge, teamwork ability and organizational skills.
FDA staff made the following comments about our resource’s performance: “[R&B’s resource] has done and continues to do a great job on the Drug Safety program. She has transitioned from Drug Safety Dashboards to Appian Workflow implementation with ease and she is the GO-TO developer on the team. FDA is thrilled to have her on the Program.”
